I'm drawing my photographs.
There were some nice and simple gestures you made this weekend. I know some of them were not new, but these gestures create some nice highlights in my heart. I love staring at you while you do them. I take a lot of photographs with my eyes. You have no idea how many photographs I have in my head. I draw them so I don't forget.
Splash. Tengo muchas ganas de splash.
The Chest
Sometimes I forget that I have my blog to say out loud some stuff I have here (points the chest)
big mega sigh.

Existentialism
Casa Cuadrada
Although there is no truly self-professed movement calling itself this, existentialism naturally influenced numerous mid-century artists agreeing with existentialism's understanding of existence taking place as an isolated solitary phenomenon in an absurd world but nevertheless affording the freedom for one to define oneself. Simone de Beauvoir said in 1965 that for these artists existentialism seemed to "authorize them to accept their transitory condition without renouncing a certain absolute, to face horror and absurdity while still retaining their human dignity" (qtd. in Dempsey 176). So existentialism refers more to the mood and thought in the art rather than a distinctive and consistent style.

Smudges
Smudges on my glasses.
I like to keep them all day, sometimes they just give me a headache so I have to clean them right away :)

Buddy and Diamond
Hello 2010!
Welcome 2010 :)
This is the first time I share this. This is my "12 o'clock new day of every year drawing" I've been doing this for some time now. I have to draw something fast because people usually are behind my back ready to give me hugs and kisses.

When Protest Posters Strike....
This is what happens when something breaks.....when something is affected by the visual taste.
Llamemos a Lista blog
Llamemos a lista Facebook group
and besides the fact that I'm the creator of both groups (technically, cause it was Trejos' idea)
I'm enjoying a lot the fact that my university was affected by the visual ideals that we all have been learning the past 2 years and half. This is the power of images, it's the power of the visual contact. That is why it is essential to me to draw, to photograph, to capture the power.
Long live the image.
Que viva...
y pues si, tengo pereza de traducir. Y que?

My protest poster
Can someone find out the artist that I used for inspiration? hint:popart, madonna
HA!
