Screenprinting

This is my first screenprinting project. 

When I was in highschool I refused to take screenprinting lessons because I thought it was useless. Like photography (silly me) I realized this technique is amazing, as well as photography.

I documented the process.

The materials

I have to say something about theses inks. I used lithographic paint. The red paint is a pain in the ass. It's thick and messy and really hard to work with. The yellow paint is another pain in the ass. Due to its substance the paint is thin and transparent. It takes twice the time to dry. The blue paint is amazing, it's perfect overall. But when I made green paint the yellow took over this cool color.

So here's my 4 hours of pain with the red paint

This is the result. :)

By the way, the illustration was based on "I shot Andy Warhol" movie. Great movie :)

Another Crying Portrait May 2010

My sketchbooks ( my babies)

The one on the top is the Mc Daddy of all of them. It's my writing journal. It was born in 2003.

The ones at the bottom are my drawing journals/sketchbooks. They were born in 2005. The last one on the right it's the one that I'm using now.

I love them all   :)

I was thinking about adding sound to my illustrations without making it look like a talking clipart. So I used a little movement.

I hate it.

I'd like to search the ingredients to the "something" I want to create. I will keep working on this sound/movement/illustration.

I wonder if somebody is trying this.

I don't know, maybe he is a new character for something I haven't created yet. Whatever, he has some kick ass shoes.
