Stop Blowing the Dande-lions

Stop Blowing the Dande-lions
Based on a poem I wrote a month ago. I will keep the poem private except for this part:

Still Quieten

I wanted to create a new portrait series continuing the tradition I started in 2008 with the series called "Despite"

This is the most personal work I've ever created this year. Somehow, all the people here have been influential in my life. Each person in these portraits I've loved or still love with all my heart. There's some people I stopped drawing due to lack of touch or lost of feelings ( not including Montaña ). Like I said, it's very personal.
I enjoyed the time I drew each one.

Total of 15 people, 23 sketches and 11 finals. These are the 11 finals.

I have to make a side note here.
I've been drawing Nattie Gone since 2005 and I find a special interest in the images I make of this character. I made two Nattie Gones the same week and both are so different. I love both, but the strokes and colors are different and it seriously made me think:

How is my stroke?
Is it fluid? organized? sketchy?
How are my colors?
strong? contrast?
Should I even worry about this?
I thinking about it because the consistency here is way off.

6pm “Jugos Sin Azucar”

6pm “Jugos Sin Azucar”

ENGLISH//

This is an illustration I did for my university’s comic and illustration magazine. The theme was to do something about the city, so I did a critique about men peeing on public places. This was the first shocking sight I had to bear since I moved back to Colombia. I see at least one guy peeing in front of me everyday. Seriously, put your dick inside your pants and I use a toilet, while you’re at it, clean your hands. Ugh. So I drew a guy with breasts peeing on the Ortiz bridge in Cali, why breasts? …hummm..

the title was inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hukosai

Hummm ... ..
